First needle
So I had my first needle today I was going to start a month or two ago but fears money issues and initial shops not being able to get the estradiol shots kind of push me back and I finally did it today and well that did not hurt at all I was very surprised there was a extremely light pinch like I've had more pain from my own hand pinching me that was almost comfortable it was more like psychological I guess especially trying to push the stuff through but I didn't mind that and now I officially have female hormones in me again

I will limit myself to smiling in support.
I try not to force people into decisions which only they can make.
But I'm looking forward to hearing how things go for you

Re: First needle
Hormones, as I see it the changes tend to be the most significant in the first year.
Mark my words, in the next 3 months, the phrase "I didn't see that coming" will happen to you a lot
Physically, you might see dramatic changes in 3 months. Psychologically you might experience shifts within 4 months.
From there on, the ride doesn't seem to stop for 3 years

Stupid question, but do you wear a bra normally?
I ask, because new transgender breast growth makes them sensitive and prone to hurting. So the bra is a defense mechanism among other things.
My bust didn't itch, but it hurt a bit for a couple of years.
My wife D'arcy (also transgender female), says hers hurt a lot, but she ramped up things with progesterone as well.
My first 6 months went like this.
Month 1-2 and 'it' stopped doing things. No more wood, and with panties on, I could barely feel it.
I was very happy about that detail.
Within 4 months my body hair seemed to disappear or go invisible. Mainly back and chest.
Within 6 months I became unusually horny for men suddenly. Drove me to distraction. My 'thing' also showed me it thought it was a vagina. men chatting to me made me 'wet'. It was not broken, it just had a new interest. It didn't go erect, it just acted like vaginas tend to do.
But otherwise, most of my responses were psychological.
Your skin softens, your face softens, but, you'd be amazed at how much your appearance changes just from feeling free to be real. You smile easier and more freely. Confidence is a major impact.
My advice dear. Talk to your inner self, never say anything negative to yourself.
Forget worrying about what others see, it's all about what do YOU see.
Be happily real.
If you are big be big, if you are tall be tall.
But be real.
And expect to get a lot more emotional, and less aggressive.

Re: First needle
I am not particularly afraid of needles - don't like them but they are a necessary evil.
My first shot of EV was in my then doctor's office. I remember taking the syringe with 10cc of saline and just popping it into my thigh - no hesitation and an amazed look on the doctor's face.
After that, I lost the nerve to simply pop the needle in so I would slowly but forcibly, push the needle through the epidermis until it popped through and then into the muscle. The pain was very minimal and bearable knowing what the result might hold.

"Disobedience in the eyes of any one who has read history is man's original virtue. "—Oscar Wilde.
If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it is all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag.

Yes I was shocked how painless this was I can literally pinch my skin harder than this needle is and I'm extremely looking forward to the effects

Re: First needle
Guys I just had a bit of an accident when I was pulling down on my needle to get out my estrogen I accidentally popped the bottle out and I could hear air getting into the needle not really thinking I put the needle back into the bottle that's when I saw the air bubble so I pushed the air bubble back up into the estrogen bottle without thinking about the consequences and I managed to get a dose without air in it to my knowledge but now there's that big bubble sitting in the middle of my estrogen bottle what do I do about that should I be worried

I'm of course not a doctor, but a fluid, in a bottle, with a bubble, will eliminate the bubble in its time on its own.
The same as with soap or paint or oil or any other fluid.
